Outdoor technical facilities

We have a 2.5 ha technical outdoor area specially designed to run practical spill response training courses, pilot-scale experiments and outdoor equipment trials.

Outdoor test tank

Real oil can be released and equipment deployed in our outdoor test tank in order to perform trials or run practical training.

Containers

Two shipping containers are used to run exercises on managing container incidents.

Beach and water body

The man-made beach and its water body allow full-scale simulation of oil pollution on various shore types during experiments and training courses.

Pumping well

This 15 m-deep well can be used to measure the suction and discharge capacities of pumping systems on different types of oils.

Showroom

In our 300 m² display area, the different types of response equipment can be presented in a hands-on approach.

Road surface area

This 400 m² area of asphalt pavement is ideal for training in on-land response techniques.
