2020
Covid-19, creation of the Aquatic Litter department, MV Wakashio spill and 2 new accreditations
2020 was a challenging year due to Covid-19, which heavily affected both the professional and personal lives of our staff, who demonstrated their capacity to be flexible, responsive and inventive throughout the year.
The agreement between Cedre and the French Ministry for the Ecological Transition includes aquatic litter, an issue that has been escalating over recent years, culminating in the creation of a new department for Aquatic Litter Monitoring and Studies.
Following the MV Wakashio spill in Mauritius on 25th July, experts from Cedre and Ceppol were sent on site for two weeks.
Two new accreditations were obtained, first from the Nautical Institute in October, followed by Qualiopi certification in November, boosting the recognition and visibility of our training courses.
