TREASURE project: Normandy visit

On 6 and 7 March, as part of the TREASURE project, Cedre visited the port of Le Havre (HAROPA Port) to discuss the issue of plastic pollution in the port, visit affected sites and observe the collection systems used.

The visit was also the opportunity to take part in sampling and the testing of clean-up techniques for plastic litter on the banks of the Seine as part of an initiative led by Leesu (Water, Environment and Urban Systems Lab), in conjunction with GIP Seine Aval, the Seine-Normandie waster agency, the University of Rouen and the Association SOS Mal de Seine.

Finally, we took this opportunity to accompany our partner IFPEN on a visit to the site of the former Dollemard coastal landfill.

We would like to thank all our partners for these very rich discussions, which help to bolster Cedre's knowledge and work with the aim of reducing plastic outflow into the Channel and North Sea.
