Mic Giver project

New experimentation

As part of the ANR Mic Giver project, an experiment has been launched with the project partner LUBEM in collaboration with Cedre. One of the aims of this project is to identify strains of fungi capable of degrading pollutants. Initial bench-scale tests identified several strains of interest. The new tests now aim to confirm this efficacy at a pilot scale in soil-filled pots. For this, four strains of fungi were inoculated into oil-contaminated soil.

Kinetic monitoring of fungal growth in the mixture is carried out by enumeration by serial dilutions and q-PCR, while kinetic monitoring of the oil degradation is carried out by GC/MS at Cedre. During this 45-day experiment, samples will be taken at six intervals. The same protocol is applied to the bioremediation of glyphosate by two strains of fungi, in collaboration with project partner ICOA.
