Training for the offshore wind sector

23 to 24 April 2024

From 23 to 24 April, 10 representatives of the wind energy sector took part in the first session of the standard training course on "Offshore wind farms: pollution risk management and spill response".

After kicking off with a theory session on product behaviour and the recommended response strategies for this specific context, the trainees were able to deploy response equipment during practical workshops: use of sorbents on the ground and on the water, boom and skimmer deployment, dynamic trawling demonstration.

The course ended with a summary of best practices, particularly in relation to prevention and preparedness, giving rise to discussions on the procedures in place within companies and the difficulties that may be encountered.
