Training for OCA Taiwan

21 to 29 May, 2024

From 21 to 29 May, Cedre had the pleasure of once again receiving a delegation of 29 representatives of various Taiwanese administrations and companies for two training sessions.

This delegation, led by the Deputy Director-General of the Taiwan Ocean Conservation Administration, first followed an OPRC IMO level 2 course on oil spill response, before completing an OPRC operational level HNS course.

Alternating theory lectures, practical and tabletop exercises, as well as demonstrations by the Finistère fire brigade (SDIS 29) and Brest naval firefighters' Mobile Chemical Response Unit, the Taiwanese trainees left Cedre with solid foundations in oil and chemical spill response.
