TREASURE project: coordination meeting and first litter collection equipment test

On 1st and 2nd October, Cedre was in Ostend (Belgium) to attend the coordination meeting for the TREASURE Interreg project, organised by our partners at VLIZ.

After reviewing the project progress, various workshops were organised. Cedre jointly organised a workshop on the identification of litter sources observed in the environment, together with partners from VLIZ and the North Sea Foundation.

Through this collaborative activity, the partners were trained in a methodology and learned to apply it to litter collected from riverbanks and beaches in Belgium.

Meanwhile, in Brest, Cedre carried out an initial test on floating litter collection equipment at its facilities.

This test validated the protocol that will be implemented during the remainder of the project to test selected equipment.
