SIREN training course
10 to 16 October 2024
As part of the SIREN training course run by the French Navy, under the patronage of the Yaoundé Architecture, Cedre provided training on crisis management in the event of a major oil spill.
The training was run for 32 officers from the Gulf of Guinea, Morocco, Spain, Italy and the French Navy.
This IMO level 3 course is intended for personnel liable to join a crisis management unit in the event of a major maritime pollution incident.
Through theory lectures and practical sessions, the trainees studied the legal framework and spill response strategies and tactics, as well as crisis management and communication.
The course ended with a crisis management exercise during which the trainees were able to apply their knowledge and share their respective experiences.
