Meeting with Process and Materials Sciences Laboratory
30 January
On 30 January, Cedre held discussions with two researchers from the Process and Materials Sciences Laboratory located on the Villetaneuse campus of Sorbonne Paris-Nord University. The discussions focused on surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), which is capable of detecting very low concentrations of a chemical compound when used with a nanostructured surface. Cedre had previously been involved in the REMANTAS project which applied this analytical method. This promising analysis technique could be used to detect specific pollutants in complex environments, such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) or metals in the form of complexes.
