Cedre took part in the Regional Workshop on Reporting, Monitoring, and Data Sharing (Medexpol 2024) organised by REMPEC (Regional Marine Pollution Emergency response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea) held in the Transport Malta offices in Lija, Malta.
This workshop brought together around fifteen countries, the EU, ITOPF and Cedre to discuss spill reporting, monitoring and information sharing, with a particular focus on the tools that are available or being developed to facilitate data sharing.
Cedre took this opportunity to present the Manifests platform and the different tools accessible via this platform: HNS database, document database, flowcharts, modelling tools, operational data sharing tool, exercises, serious game. All the countries in attendance expressed an interest in training on the use of these tools; Rempec and Cedre will be working together to develop this for 2025.
