IMO level 2 training for Delta Petroleum
13 to 17 May 2024
In order to strengthen their teams’ onshore and at-sea oil spill response skills, SAS GEDC decided to offer its employees theory and practical training in maritime oil spill response delivered to IMO level 2 standards through in-person sessions run in Saint Martin.
Two engineers from Cedre were in the French West Indies from 13 to 17 May, to deliver this training for 5 members of Delta Petroleum's permanent team and 3 representatives of SIN (Servitude des Iles du Nord).
This course covered a broad range of aspects including surveys, worksite organisation, shoreline clean-up, building custom-built barriers, and deploying containment and recovery equipment in the port of Galisbay, providing considerable practical experience, as well as opportunities to share experiences.
