Creation of the REGARD network

Cedre and OiEau have created and are coordinating the REGARD network, a new thematic network focusing on litter in stormwater and wastewater networks. This network, funded by the Loire-Brittany Water Agency, aims to support local authorities and associated stakeholders in their efforts to reduce outputs of plastic litter from urban networks.

The kick-off meeting for the REGARD network was held on 3 July 2024 in the offices of the Loire-Brittany Water Agency in Nantes, in the presence of a number of local authorities and experts. The objectives and the technical support offered through the network were presented.

This meeting was also the opportunity for various stakeholders to share their experience. The REGARD network is continuing to be developed, with the forthcoming launch of a website featuring documentary resources, regular technical newsletters, feedback from experience and all the latest news.
