Biannual meeting of the OSPAR ICG Marine Litter

From 18 to 21 June, Cedre was in Madeira for the biannual meeting of the OSPAR Convention's Marine Litter Working Group (ICG Marine Litter), in which we participated as experts within the French delegation, providing support to the Water and Biodiversity Directorate which comes under MTECT.
The meeting, hosted by our colleagues at DRAAC, provided the opportunity to review the marine litter monitoring and assessment actions in progress under the Convention as well as the implementation of the Marine Litter Regional Action Plan which aims to reduce pressure from marine litter in the OSPAR area.
During this meeting partners of the Interreg Free-LitterAT project, which include Cedre, presented the project’s latest advances.
