As part of the Memorandum of Understanding between Cedre and the Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), two engineers from Cedre were sent to Taipei from 25th to 28th September. On 26th, they were involved in the annual conference on marine pollution, alongside the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Japanese Maritime Disaster Prevention Center (MDPC) and Taiwan EPA. The next day they took part in a morning of discussions on past incidents with several Taiwanese stakeholders who had come to present case studies of past spills followed by a visit to the site of the TS Taipei incident. During this mission, the two engineers visited various institutes and met various stakeholders involved in preparation and response. They also saw several former trainees trained at Cedre since 2012 and had the honour of meeting the Minister of Environmental Protection Administration and his two Deputy Ministers.
